“If one can select an appropriate means to steady the mind and practice this, whatever the provocations, the interruptions cannot take root.” – Yoga Sutra 1.32
Since last updating the web page, I enrolled in Kundilini Teacher’s Training through Yoga Yoga in the Fall of 2011 and graduated in May of 2012. It was an incredible year and as a lover of God and a seeker of wisdom and truth, I was not disappointed in the hours spent in Sat Kriya, performing Frog pose, or counting leg lifts! Through these exercises and others I found the saying, “Keep up and you’ll be kept up,” to ring absolutely true.
Kundilini Yoga is a beautiful practice that helps bring one into Shuniya which in turns opens the nadis to the flow of energy that vibrates the body and mind into the awareness of the “ little I am” as a reflection of the ‘Bigger I am”. Then it’s no longer about the doing –it’s about the being or indwelling! If you have never had the experience of a Kundilini class, run to the class nearest you!
Upon graduating from the program, I added a Kundilini class to my schedule at the San Marcos Community Yoga Center. Unfortunately the center has been sold. I am so thankful that Jerry and Jim Kimmel, the owner operators of SMCY Center, believed in me and gave me the opportunity to teach and grow as a teacher. I miss the community that developed around the studio yet am excited about what’s present now.
More later!
